Day 1: Arrival Day

Meeting with the representatives of (Free Spirit Tours) at Tbilisi international airport, transfer to the hotel. Hotel check-in.

Day 2: Tbilisi City Tour

After breakfast in the hotel we will start our tour by visiting old Tbilisi, to visit 13th century Metekhi church, with the equestrian statue of the city’s royal founder standing above the steep cliffs of the Mtkvari River. The church has been destroyed many times by the enemy. Afterwards enjoy the opportunity to travel by cable car and reach the great monument of the Mother of Georgia. Then descend from the mountain, through the narrow streets to the Narikala Fortress, from there you can enjoy amazing view of Tbilisi. Then we will walk to the Tbilisi Mosque which was built in XVI century. Continue to 7th century Sioni Cathedral, it is considered one of the most sacred places in the country, since it houses the holy cross of St Nino, the young woman who converted Georgia to Christianity in the early 4th century; Sioni was the only active church during Soviet Occupation. We visit 6th century Anchiskhati Basilica, the oldest church in the town. After that we will go to a restaurant for lunch.

After Lunch we will continue our tour  to the Liberty Square  and famous Rustaveli street, on our way we will see the Rustaveli’s  theatre, old opera, parliament and then we will visit the Georgian national museum “Simon Janashia”, which displays the country’s principal archaeological findings,   then we will go to a restaurant to have dinner, after we will go to the hotel.

Day 3: Tbilisi – Bodbe Monastery – Sighnaghi – Tbilisi

After breakfast in the hotel you will make check-out and drive visiting Kahketi- the most important wine-growing region of Georgia. Firstly, we will visit Bodbe monastery, which takes a special place in the spiritual life of Georgia. The church holds relics of St. Nino enlightener. There is a one of the most famous icons of Georgia – Virgin ” Iver “. During the World War II the monastery was used as a hospital. Nurses and some patients have secretly prayed before the image. At 3 km from the monastery are the holy springs of St. Nino.  Then we will head to wonderful town of Sighnaghi where winding streets and architecture of the 18th century create a charming atmosphere. From the slopes of the hill on which is Sighnaghi, offers a magnificent view of the Alazani Valley with its orderly rows of vineyards. After that we will go to a restaurant for lunch. Then we will have opportunity to visit Georgian traditional wine cellar where you can taste Georgian wine. After Driving to Tbiliis. Arrival in Tbilisi, then we will go to a restaurant to have dinner.

Day 4: Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Kutaisi

After breakfast in the hotel we will make check-out and drive to Imereti Region. On the way we will visit  to Mtskheta – old capital of Georgia Mtskheta. (Due to its historical significance and several cultural monuments, the “Historical Monuments of Mtskheta” became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. There we will visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, Jvari monastery, from the monastery is opening amazing view on two rivers Mtkvari and Aragvi. Then we will continue ourt way to Kutaisi on the way visit to a restaurant for lunch. Arrival in Kutaisi. Hotel check-in. Then we will visit Gelaty monastery. A masterpiece of the Georgian Golden Age Gelati was founded in 1106 by King David IV of Georgia and is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. After we will visit Bagrati cathedral. Cathedral was built in the early years of the 11th century, during the reign of King Bagrat III, due to which it was called “Bagrati”. After we will go to the restaurant for dinner.

Day 5: Kutaisi – Martvili Canyon – Mestia

After breakfast in the hotel we will make check-out. First  visit to  Martvili Canyon Natural Monument. It is located in Martvili municipality, 700 m long stone-paved circular route starts from Martvili Canyon visitor center and crosses the Dadiani historical trail. There are 2 bridges, 3 platform views and historical 30 steps stair constructed by large limestone boulders.  Then visit to a local restaurant for lunch. After lunch drive to Svaneti, Mestia.Attival in Mestia. Hotel check-in.  Svaneti region is a birthplace of the Svans, a unique ethnic group, who were distinguished with their amazing and old culture and traditions. Svaneti is also famous with its original and authentic architecture and is dubbed as a “land of thousand towers”. Those towers used to play an important economic and defensive role in the history of Svaneti. There are still dozens of the towers – middle Ages stone houses with fire watchtowers; and churches (10-14th cc). We will have short tour in Mestia then we will head to a restaurant for dinner

Day 6: Mestia – Ushguli - Mestia

After breakfast in the hotel we will head to Ushguli village, the highest standing settlement in Europe (2200 m). Ushguli architectural complex is a valuable architectural and historical monument listed in the World heritage of UNESCO for its exclusiveness. There are about 70 families living in Ushguli (around 200 people). We will spend some time in Ushguli strolling old narrow streets. Then visit to a local restaurant for lunch. After we will visit Lamaria church complex with impressive 12th century wall frescos. Locals believe that Queen Tamar was buried under this church. Then we will spend some time enjoying picturesque view of the Mount Shkhara.   Return to Mestia to enjoy delicious dinner which is Svans traditional dishes.

Day 7: Mestia – Zugdidi - Batumi

After breakfast in the hotel we will make check-out and drive to Batumi. On the way stop in Zugdidi to visit Dadiani Palace Museum.  In 1839 David Dadiani founded his family’s museum. The museum is one of the oldest in the Caucasus region, and currently houses more than 41,000 items, ranging from the second millennium BC to the end of the 19th century AD. Some of the most interesting items include Napoleon’s death mask dated 1833.  Then visit to a restaurant for lunch. After lunch continue our way to Batumi.  Arrival in Batumi. Hotel check-in. Batumi, a Black Sea resort and port city. Batumi  is the second largest city of Georgia. After that we will have a walking tour on the boulevard we will start the tour from Georgian Alphabet tour then the statue of Ali and Nino (Statue of love). We will continue walking tour till the dancing fountains. After that we will go to a restaurant for dinner.

Day 8: Batumi – Gonio Castle – Botanical Garden - Batumi

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to the Gonio-Apsaros Castle which is situated 12 kilometers south of the city of Batumi on the left bank of the Cherokee river. The castle lies on one of the oldest Georgian settlements and due to its strategic geographical location, was considered an important defense fortress in the beginning of the Roman and Byzantine era.  Then visit to a restaurant for lunch. After lunch drive to visit Batumi botanical garden -one of the best things to do in Batumi is spend a few hours hiking in the Botanical Garden. An Eden of sorts. Batumi’s garden is of the oldest, biggest and more important plant research facilities in the region. There are close to 2,000 different species from across the globe represented in 9 different zones, all connected by a dozen different walking paths and off-road hiking trails.  After that we will go to a restaurant for dinner.

Day 9: Batumi – Prometheus Cave - Kutaisi

After breakfast in the hotel we will make check-out and drive to Tskaltubo. Tskaltubo is a spa resort in west-central Georgia. It is the main town of the Tsqaltubo Municipality of the Imereti province. It is known for its radon-carbonate mineral springs, whose natural temperature of 33–35 °C enables the water to be used without preliminary heating. Arrival in Tskaltubo.  Then visit to a restaurant for lunch. After lunch drive to the hotel to make check-in. After this drive to Prometheus Cave. There are 22 halls found, where just 6 halls are open for tourists. It is possible to walk through the length of 1420 meters in the cave’s territory visit the halls. The magic cave is full with stunning curtains of stalactites and stalagmites.  After we will drive to Kutaisi and hotel check-in. Dinner.

Day 10: Kutaisi– Uplistsikhe – Tbilisi

After breakfast in the hotel we will make check-out and drive to Shida Kartli region to visit Uplistsikhe. The stone city had 3-thousand-year history. It is assumed that it was formed around 1000 BC, and finally was emptied only in the XIX century.  After that we will go to a restaurant for lunch. After lunch drive to Tbilisi. Arrival in Tbilisi. Hotel check-in, then we will go to a restaurant to have dinner, after we will go back to the hotel.

Day 11: Departure Day

Transfer to Tbilisi International Airport.
