Day 1: Arrival Day

Meeting with the representatives of (Free Spirit Tours) at Tbilisi international airport, transfer to the hotel. Check-in in the hotel.

Day 2: Tbilisi City Tour

After breakfast in the hotel we will start our tour by visiting old Tbilisi, to visit 13th century Metekhi church, with the equestrian statue of the city’s royal founder standing above the steep cliffs of the Mtkvari River. The church has been destroyed many times by the enemy. Afterwards enjoy the opportunity to travel by cable car and reach the great monument of the Mother of Georgia. Then descend from the mountain, through the narrow streets to the Narikala Fortress, from there you can enjoy amazing view of Tbilisi. Then we will walk to the Tbilisi Mosque which was built in XVI century. Continue to 7th century Sioni Cathedral, it is considered one of the most sacred places in the country, since it houses the holy cross of St Nino, the young woman who converted Georgia to Christianity in the early 4th century; Sioni was the only active church during Soviet Occupation. We visit 6th century Anchiskhati Basilica, the oldest church in the town. After that we will go to a restaurant for lunch.  After Lunch we will continue our tour  to the Liberty Square  and famous Rustaveli street, on our way we will see the Rustaveli’s  theatre, old opera, parliament and then we will visit the Georgian national museum “Simon Janashia”, which displays the country’s principal archaeological findings,   then we will go to a restaurant to have dinner, after we will go to the hotel.

Day 3: Tbilisi – Bodbe monstery –  Sighnagi - Tbilisi

After breakfast in the hotel we will drive to Kahketi- the most important wine-growing region of Georgia. Firstly, we wil visit Bodbe monastery, which takes a special place in the spiritual life of Georgia. The church holds relics of St. Nino enlightener. There is a one of the most famous icons of Georgia – Virgin ” Iver “. During the World War II the monastery was used as a hospital. Nurses and some patients have secretly prayed before the image. At 3 km from the monastery are the holy springs of St. Nino.  Then we will head to wonderful town of Sighnaghi where winding streets and architecture of the 18th century create a charming atmosphere. From the slopes of the hill on which is Sighnaghi, offers a magnificent view of the Alazani Valley with its orderly rows of vineyards. Time for lunch. Then drive to traditional wine cellar where you have opportunity to test Georgian wine. Then drive  back to Tbilisi. Then we will go to a restaurant to have dinner, after we will go to the hotel.

Day 4: Tbilisi – Ananuri – Gudauri 

After breakfast in the hotel we will make check-out and drive to Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region. First visit to Ananuri castle The Ananuri fortified ensemble dating from the 17th century, is located on the left bank of the Aragvi River, along the famous original Georgian Military Highway, 66km from Tbilisi. Lunch in the restaurant. Arrival in Gudauri ski resort, free time for ski activity. Then we will go to a restaurant to have dinner, after we will go to the hotel.

Day 5: Gudauri – Kazbegi (Stephantsminda ) - Gudauri

After breakfast in the hotel we will drive to Kazbegi. First we will visit Arch of friendship (was built in 1983 to celebrate the bicentennial of the Treaty of Georgievsk.) From the monument is opening beautiful view of the Caucasus Mountains. Then we will head to Kazbegi (Stephantsminda). We will change the transport and drive with 4×4 car to visit Gergeti trinity church, at an elevation of 2170 meters. It was built in XIV century, from the monastery is amazing view on the Caucasian mountains. After we will drive to Stepantsminda and visit a local restaurant for lunch. Then return to Gudauri. Free time in Gudauri. Then we will go to a restaurant to have dinner, after we will go to the hotel.

Day 6: Gudauri - Uplistsikhe – Bakuriani

After breakfast in the hotel we will make check-out and drive to Bakuriani. On the way visit to stone town Uplistsikhe and Borjomi. The stone city had 3-thousand-year history. It is assumed that it was formed around 1000 BC, and finally was emptied only in the XIX century. Arrival in Borjomi. Lunch in the local restaurant. Then we will visit Borjomi park. Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park is the first national park created in independent. Borjomi is famous with its mineral water. Then we will drive to Bakuriani. Hotel check-in. Then we will go to a restaurant to have dinner, after we will go to the hotel.

Driving distance: 285  Km

Day 7: Bakuriani – Rabati – Vardzia - Bakuriani

After breakfast in the hotel, we will drive to Akhaltsikhe, where we will visit Rabati fortress. Rabati Castle is a medieval fortress built in the 9th century under the name “Lomsia Castle” in the city of Akhaltsikhe in southern Georgia, recently globally reconstructed. Continue our way to Vardzia, arrival in Vardia and Lanch in the local restaurant. After that visit to historical caves of Vardzia, a cave monastery site in southern Georgia excavated from the slopes of the Erusheti Mountain on the left bank of the Mtkvari River. The main period of construction was the second half of the 12th century. Drive back to Bakuriani. Then we will go to a restaurant to have dinner, after we will go to the hotel

Day 8: Bakuriani

Day 9:  Bakuriani – Sataplia -  Gelati Monastery – Bagrati Cathedral - Kutaisi

After breakfast in the hotel we will make check out, drive to visit cave of Sataplia. It is rated by the protection of geological excavations Organization as one of the most beautiful plantation monuments around the world. We will observe the fossils and replicas of dinosaurs in addition to the glass bridge.   After that we will go to a restaurant for lunch. Then we will visit Gelaty monastery. A masterpiece of the Georgian Golden Age Gelati was founded in 1106 by King David IV of Georgia and is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. After we will visit Bagrati cathedral. Cathedral was built in the early years of the 11th century, during the reign of King Bagrat III, due to which it was called “Bagrati”. After we will go to the restaurant for dinner.

Driving distance: 200 Km

Day 10: Kutaisi – Mtskheta – Tbilisi 

After breakfast in the hotel we will make check-out and drive to Tbilisi. On the way we will visit to Mtskheta – old capital of Georgia Mtskheta. Lunch in the restaurant. (Due to its historical significance and several cultural monuments, the “Historical Monuments of Mtskheta” became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. There we will visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, Jvari monastery, from the monastery is opening amazing view on two rivers Mtkvari and Aragvi. Then Drive to Tbilisi Arrival in Tbilisi and hotel check-in. After we will go to the restaurant for dinner
