Day 1: Arrival Day

Meeting with the representatives of (Free Spirit Tours) at Tbilisi international airport, transfer to the hotel. Check-in in the hotel.

Overnight: Tbilisi

Day 2: Tbilisi City Tour

After breakfast in the hotel we will start our tour by visiting old Tbilisi, to visit 13th century Metekhi church, with the equestrian statue of the city’s royal founder standing above the steep cliffs of the Mtkvari River. The church has been destroyed many times by the enemy. Afterwards enjoy the opportunity to travel by cable car and reach the great monument of the Mother of Georgia. Then descend from the mountain, through the narrow streets to the Narikala Fortress, from there you can enjoy amazing view of Tbilisi. Then we will walk to the Tbilisi Mosque which was built in XVI century. Continue to 7th century Sioni Cathedral, it is considered one of the most sacred places in the country, since it houses the holy cross of St Nino, the young woman who converted Georgia to Christianity in the early 4th century; Sioni was the only active church during Soviet Occupation. We visit 6th century Anchiskhati Basilica, the oldest church in the town. After that we will go to a restaurant for lunch.  After Lunch we will visit to The Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi , commonly known as Sameba , is the main cathedral of the Georgian Orthodox Church. Constructed between 1995 and 2004, it is the third-tallest Eastern Orthodox cathedral in the world and one of the largest religious buildings in the world by total area. Sameba is a synthesis of traditional styles dominating the Georgian church architecture at various stages in history and has some Byzantine undertones. After that we will go to a restaurant to have dinner, then drive back  to the hotel.

Day 3: Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Uplistsikhe –Tbilisi

After breakfast in the hotel we will start our tour by visiting old capital of Georgia Mtskheta. (Due to its historical significance and several cultural monuments, the “Historical Monuments of Mtskheta” became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. There we will visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, Jvari monastery, from the monastery is opening amazing view on two rivers Mtkvari and Aragvi. Then we will continue our tour to Uplistsikhe. On the way we will visit to a restaurant for lunch. Then visit to stone town Uplistsikhe – one of the oldest places in the Caucasus, which were founded in the Bronze Age. First mention of Uplistsikhe occurs even in the annals of I century BC. I. e. history of the town was full and ambiguous – it has experienced several ups and downs and finally was abandoned in the XIX century. The city is known for its unique rooms, tunnels, rooms and many others. After the adoption of Christianity in Georgia, were built several churches. For centuries it served as the royal center and commercial crossroads Kartli.  Then we will drive back to Tbilisi. Drovong in the restaurant for dinner then we will head to the hotel.

Day 4: Tbilisi – David Gareja – Sighnaghi – Bodbe Monastery – Tbilisi

After breakfast in the hotel we will start our tour in Kakheti region. On the way to central part of Kakheti you will visit one of the oldest monastery complex in the desert area of Georgia – St. David Gareja monastery. This is rock-hewn complex could not leave you without amotions. Then continue our tour to wonderful town of Sighnaghi where winding streets and architecture of the 18th century create a charming atmosphere. From the slopes of the hill on which is Sighnaghi, offers a magnificent view of the Alazani Valley with its orderly rows of vineyards. After that we will go to a restaurant for lunch. After lunch  we will visit Bodbe monastery, which takes a special place in the spiritual life of Georgia. The church holds relics of St. Nino enlightener. There is a one of the most famous icons of Georgia – Virgin ” Iver “. During the World War II the monastery was used as a hospital. Nurses and some patients have secretly prayed before the image. At 3 km from the monastery are the holy springs of St. Nino.  After we will return back to Tbilisi, then we will go to a restaurant to have dinner
